Wyomanock Center Peatlands Restoration & Invasive Plant Removal

The 6.3 acre peatlands at Wyomanock Center for Sustainable Living are the largest and best example of a calcareous peatland complex in Rensselaer County. Unfortunately, this rare ecosystem is at risk due to the spreading of invasive species. Join David Hunt of Ecological Intuition & Medicine, representatives from PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management) and other concerned community members as we work to remove invasive plants in an effort to restore this unique peatland system. Lunch will be provided.
